The Chicken Biscuit is worth posting twice. I mean, for real.
This was our first morning meal and man, it was delicious!
Look at my big boy!
For lunch, we went to Newk's - one of my 2 favorite restaurants in Birmingham.
We headed down to Mom & Bill's new house on Lay Lake. The porch - for real - is my favorite part! It's so relaxing to sit and watch the water. It was still too cold for us to swim. Our desert bodies aren't used to swimming in low 80s!
We watched this storm blow in...
Lucy went to the dentist. (She's so big!)
Will slept wonderfully, almost like jet lag didn't hit him at all!
And this little girl won over this guy's heart like nothing I've ever seen before! BOTH of them light up! It's very sweet to watch.
And Will got a bit of love, too :)
I did a lot of exercising and walking with Meredith. On this particular day, we walked over 5 miles!
These two... (At this point, they were still just fiancés)
We have picture of 2 of my sisters, Meredith and Lesley, in this same van in the same pose.
Soon-to-be Uncle Jon is pretty amazing with the kiddos! He even won Will over!
We had a huge Perrin side of the family get-together on May 31. Will loved the AC vent on the floor. He's never felt one of these, ya'll! It was funny to watch him enjoying his hair blowing up.
My sweet Aunt Cathy and her granddaughter, Brooklyn
They tried the sprinkler for a while...but the kiddos weren't fans.
She's telling him something really important...
We celebrated Hillary's Birthday!
The Fam - minus Emily & Jeremy
Daddy & Andrea, Aunt Cathy & Uncle Paul and their grandkids.
I LOVE this picture!
Aunt Cathy is my dad's sister. Kristin (top R) and Andy (bottom L) are my cousins. Hillary (front) is Andy's wife. Uncle Paul, obviously, is my uncle :) and precious Brookly rounds out the Layne crew.
And no family gathering is complete without "Aunt" Bonnie & "Uncle" Mickey. We've adopted them into our family because they are AWESOME!
Brooklyn is a few months older than Will. Sweet second cousins.
And that was our first week in the USA.
Are you tired yet? Cause we sure were! More to come...
