Puddle Jumping

Yesterday we went out in the "yard" for some more outside play time. We've probably got about 7 more days in this house, so we've gotta take full advantage of it! Only yesterday, we decided to not blow the pool back up from it's wilted in the immense heat state. But we knew Lucy wanted to play in water because she always wants to play in water!

So... We just turned on the hose and sprayed her down! Yep, a little bit of Alabama right here in the Middle East!
(This is a video. I hope it works!)
There was mud. There was dirt. It was awesome! She had a blast! And we didn't have to blow anything up! She is a water girl, through and through, no matter where the water comes from!

Notice the muddy water! It hardly ever rains here in the desert - shocker, I know. So everything gets coated in quite the layer of dust.

We realized that the pavers underneath are actually RED Brick! Who knew? Gotta love a little water!
Even though it makes for a messy girl!

Brad gave her a good hose-down before they came inside. And she went straight into the bathtub - that I think she enjoys just as much as any other water time!

I think our theme this July has been WATER! Wouldn't you agree?

And yesterday was her first day without a diaper on in her bathing suit. I think it felt weird to her at first, and who knows if there were accidents or not, but she did it! Well, we did it! Potty training, for sure, will happen in the next 3 weeks! We are not planning on going on our big vacation with diapers!

  1. I love what you said - you did it. haha My mom always says that potty training is really more of parent training (because we have to do a lot of work!), and it is SO true, especially those first couple of months. :)
Anyway - I love her water hose pics, especially the second one!
