We Took a Trip

This past weekend - remember, our weekend is Thursday & Friday - we took a trip to the Big D! It's a wonderful city and a nice place to visit! We're happy that it's a retreat for us and that we're able to get there every few months. 

Since it's the middle of the blazing summer, there's not a lot to do besides hit up all the fabulous malls! And in those malls there are amazing restaurants! We plan our trips to the Big D around which restaurants we want to hit! :) 

Here we are at PF Changs! Yay! We were so happy to be there and let me tell you, the lettuce wraps and great wall of Chocolate were A-mazing! Made us miss Brian and Erika, our PF Changs buddies, so much! Check out Lucy's funny expression...

The next mall we went to has an indoor ski area. Neither one of us knows how to ski... but we like to watch. And while we were sitting in TGI Fridays, we were right next to the ski lifts. Notice the black spot on the right/middle side of the picture... It's a ski lift chair full of at least 3 ladies, if not 4, dressed in full abayas: completely covered! It was funny cause everyone else in the ski area was dressed in this red and blue ski gear that they must issue everyone. They really stood out! I bet they were COLD! 

We think that in a few years, Lucy might really enjoy playing in the snow covered kiddie area. It might be the only "real" snow she'll ever see!

We went to the biggest mall in the city and hit up the Hersey's Chocolate World store! Another amazing place! I spent almost $30 on chocolate! Had to load up on Hersey's with almonds and on Heath bars - we can't get either of those here. And the sweet workers gave Lucy a Hersey Kiss! 

Unfortunately, Lucy woke up on our last day with a bit of a cold. She's almost 100% now, but she's still got a runny nose. Sweet girl... Below, we are in a huge Toys-R-Us. She's got some swords, but you can tell she's a bit under the weather. 

It was a great trip! Sorry I don't have more pictures... but I find that, well, we're in malls, so that's not too exciting. Lucy's cute, though, so enjoy!

For now, we're back in our city. Trying to stay cool. Getting ready for our move in a little over a month.
