January in Review: Part 4, Lucy's Birthday

I can't believe that my baby girl is 6. 

And...my youngest sister is 23 and going to be a nurse! Can't believe that, either.

We started the morning our usual way - with a birthday donut!

 And one present before school.

Then she headed off to school and I headed to make her cake for her party.

We had a party at Lucy's school for her and another boy, Christos, whose birthday is the same day! They are the only two non-Arab kids in her class and they share the same birthday!

 Her teacher had her serve all the girls. (Boys ate Christos' batman cake) I love that her teacher is teaching them to serve others first!

 Will sat by himself and was perfectly happy...until...

 He was discovered! And all the kiddos were patting his head. He was NOT a fan.

 Lucy and Christos. She loves him. He's one of the boys she says she's going to marry - one of about 4.

 This is Will's NO face.

 They were SO cute playing together.

 Then it was back home for presents from Grandparents and friends.

 Lucy got to choose our restaurant for dinner and she chose a place called Darcy's. She got a yummy birthday dessert, too. 

 She chose this place mostly for the swing!

 On Saturday, we had Lucy's party

 Yellow cake with chocolate icing and strawberry cupcakes with purple icing.

 After cake at our house, we headed over to the beach Festival site. They have ALL these inflatables for FREE! (Mom & Dad Win!)

 As you can see by all the rosy cheeks, it was a bit warmer that day, but everyone had fun!

Whew. January wore me out - in the best possible way! On to February!
