Big Fat Greek Vacation - Part 4: Mars Hill & the rest of our day in Athens

Mars Hill is the place where Paul delivered one of his most famous sermons from Acts 17. It's on the same hill as the Acropolis. It's a HUGE rock. We climbed the ancient stairs instead of the new, easy to climb stairs. Had to get the full experience!

"Take a picture of me climbing Mars Hill." - Meredith

Lucy is quite the climber!
The view of the Acropolis and Parthenon from Mars Hill.
 So cute!
 So cute, again!
Brad read the sermon aloud for MGW & Will. Lucy and I were exploring and HOT and we didn't stay to listen.
The remnants of a church that was next to the hill.
A view of Athens from Mars Hill
 Lucy! And the Acropolis.
Will was hot and needed water when we got down the hill.
 But still happy!
Strong back ya got there, Mere!
Our walk down the back side of the mountain.
Lucy has started posing so much! Very cute.
We almost ate at this super cute restaurant.
But instead, we went to another super cute place that had better prices! :)
This was our waiter. He did that funny fake spit thing that they did in My Big Fat Greek Wedding on the cute folks. So funny!
 Mere's preferred holding position.
Could you just KISS this face?
 SPARTACUS!
Although, we had it explained to us that we were nowhere near Sparta...
We found this Greek gal selling lemonade and paintings. Mere bought both!
Poor Brad. His back was really stiff by this point in our day. And Lucy bug was super tired!
Our last view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon!
Lucy got one of these pink squishy things. Too bad it died about 5 minutes in.
 Mommy & Will are hot!
 These two. Their maps. Sheesh.
We made our way to the National Archeological Museum after lunch.
Let me just tell you...the streets in Athens are for the birds! Skinny. One way. Parked cars on all sides. Wow. Brad did an amazing job driving through!
Here's what Will thought of the museum.
This guy was at the bottom of the sea!

After this, we headed back to Evia Island...our little home away from home.
End of Part 4

  1. That picture of Lucy posing in the alleyway is pretty much exactly how I picture Greece. I now want to buy a house on that street.
