Long Weekend

I had an eye doctor appointment in the Big D this weekend, so we made a trip of it! And some of our best pals, Mr. & Mrs. & baby G went, too! We had a great time!

At the mall the day we arrived. We were wasting time in a store while a guy finished washing our car in the parking lot. Lucy was quite comfortable.
Lucy likes to hold "baby Grace"

 She's beautiful!
They're very sweet together and I'm sure that as they continue to grow up together, they'll be the best of friends!

This was eye doctor day.
Brad and Lucy dropped me off and then drove around a little bit. They found a Bentley in the parking lot and according to Brad, Lucy said she wanted this kind of car when she grew up. Hmmm...sounds a lot like the father projecting his desires onto the daughter to me!
After the eye doctor...
We went to the Atlantis hotel to go to Aquaventure water park!
The drive to the hotel is pretty amazing....
You have to go under this LONG tunnel that goes under the water!
As you can see... even the gps sees us as UNDER the water right now!

Finally emerging!

And now on the outer ring of the Palm Islands - manmade islands here in the Big D.
And there she is! The Atlantis hotel. It's pretty amazing. This is the last picture I got because we didn't take our waterproof camera. Know that we had a great time playing in the park and were so blessed to have the Gs with us! It was such a fun day! And NO ONE got sunburned!
On the next day, we went over to a mall that was close to where we were staying. They had the most amazing kids area! Including a double-decker carousel!

Lucy rode the airplanes all by herself!

And sat in the front of her little car with some local kiddos.
As always, she was the only blonde around!
This was her last ride. Despite her face, she was enjoying it.

On our last day, yesterday, the Gs offered to keep Lucy for us so that we could go see The Avengers. It was a great movie & and wonderful date time for us. Brad said it was one of the best movies he's ever seen! That's a glowing review if I've ever heard one! Then we ate at Texas Roadhouse - YUM - and made our way back to our small, village-like town. Only to have 1 more day - TODAY - free from school.

Happy Long Weekend! Happy Mother's Day!
