Today wasn't exciting...

Be advised, this probably won't be the most exciting post...

Today we headed out for the vacation portion of our Spring Break - even though we'll technically not be counting any of this as vacation since we'll probably speak more Arabic this week than if we were back home. :) At least I will!

We drove an hour and a half and stopped at some friends' house for lunch. Yummy. Then got back in the car for the rest of the 2 hours. Lucy slept about 30 minutes, but we've gotten pretty used to that with her. It never fails that as soon as I shut my eyes, I mean, as soon as I shut them, she wakes up and is crying. Nice. But I was ready with the portable DVD player and a Barney movie. That always works!

Wow, this is really not interesting stuff. But, I'm assuming - hoping - that at least my fam is enjoying the recap.

We're very blessed to have a wonderful boss and his wife who have opened their home up to us multiple times. And we're very comfortable here at their place. Oh, we love this city!

We had a great and yummy dinner at a chinese place with them and then Brad, Lucy, and I "played" in a Borders bookstore for a little while while we let our food settle.

Now, Lucy's all tucked into her bed. She's totally outgrowing/grown the pack-n-play, but she's still sleeping in it, just diagonally, and she just gets out in the morning. :)

BIG plans tomorrow:
-Shopping, just some...
-Appointment at the American embassy to get more passport pages. (Brad and I have added pages once already, but we each only have 1 empty page left! Yes, we're world travelers! FYI, you can add extra pages twice before you have to just get a new passport altogether.)
-Celebrate 8 years of wedded bliss...
OH, did you read that right?
Yep, 8 years of Alison & Brad! AMAZING, HUH?

-And tomorrow night, I get to do some fun Arab wedding week activities with one of my best local pals here and her sister-in-law, who is getting married on Friday! Should be a fun week of wedding posts coming up!
