First off, I cannot thank you all enough for your PR and for your encouraging words! This is the body of C at work! Thank you again and again.
Today was a very hard day, just as I anticipated. We went to the nursery with the goal of talking to them this morning to let them enjoy their last day with Lucy. It was a very sad time. I cried. One of the teachers, S, cried. It was hard. But as soon as another mom who speaks better Arabic came in, the teachers started getting defensive and it was just hard. Some very unkind words were said to my friend - the other mom - by one of the older teachers.
We all, me & Brad and our two friends, did our best to explain to the teachers our decision to pull out, but as expected, it was very hard and I know they are all sad to see our sweet kiddos go.
The rest of the day wasn't the best. The director, who we were told this morning was "too busy" to ever meet with any of us who had requested to meet with her, showed up in town and went to the home of one of the ladies she fired, offering them their jobs back and making empty promises and threats. It was ugly. And then when we picked Lucy up this afternoon, she was there and was pretty ugly to me, too. I just kept saying "hallas" which means "enough" or "finished" and didn't try to explain anything to her because I knew she wouldn't understand anything at this point. Eventually I had to just say bye to S & N and leave. It was awful.
But, we did what we know G wanted us to do. We didn't use any harsh words with any of them. We tried our best to show G to them by how we reacted to them. I can only PR that their hearts will be softened when they think back to our reactions today and to our words. In all of this, I know that G will be glorified because He has promised to work everything for the good of those who love Him. I stand firm on His promises.
Tomorrow morning, Brad and I will join another family at the new nursery to help them clean and paint and get everything ready for Sunday's GRAND opening! We are excited about this new nursery and about the teachers, M & F.
Please continue to PR for:
1. M & F as they start up this new nursery. PR that there would be no other confrontations between them and the owner of the old nursery.
2. PR that the hearts of all of these ladies will be softened. It's very sad to see the total depravity of a life without J. When you're not motivated by J, it can be a very ugly thing.
3. PR that M & F will see J in our lives as we will be seeing them daily now. PR for relationships to form and for G's light to shine through us.
4. Especially PR on Sunday, 9 am our time, 11 pm CST as both nurseries will start up that day with the huge shift in children. PR that the ladies at the old nursery will continue giving care and loving on the kiddos who are still there. PR for M & F at the new nursery and the kiddos who will be starting in this new place - another transition for our little ones. :)
Thank you again.
We stand firm on J Ch, our solid Rock.
