Please Join us in Prayer tonight

Hello friends, This is long, but please,I ask that you join us in PR tonight and tomorrow - around 9 am our time which is 11 pm CST.

Tomorrow, we face a very difficult situation at Lucy's current nursery school.

About a month ago, the owner of the school fired the 2 teachers that were Lucy's main teachers, M & F. Both of these ladies had worked at this nursery for multiple years and were very trusted. They were the main reason we went to this nursery, from the word of another mom/worker here who has been here for a year and has grown to love and really trust them.

When the owner approached these ladies for an evaluation of her new hire - who is also her daughter - M & F told her the truth, that her daughter is lazy and not a very good worker. The owner called them liars and then told them they could find new jobs. This devastated both of them, as it did us, too. The daughter is very lazy…we have observed this too and don't get a good feeling from her and from another lady who works there.

After this happened, I requested a meeting with the owner, but she has never returned my call. She is never at the nursery. So I, and the other parents, haven't been able to address this issue properly with her.

M & F then decided to start their own nursery. This is very exciting to us and they have been working hard and have had several Western families, and a few Arab families who also know and love them, commit to bringing our children and some of us have even helped them get all set up at their new place. It's a great little place with a huge shade tree out front. They've done a very good job setting it all up and are planning to open on Sunday.

The owner hired 2 new ladies to take M & F's places. These 2 ladies are so sweet and I really like them a lot. But we have committed to M & F to come to their nursery and we don't feel like we can or should or even want to back out on them.

Since M & F left, Lucy's care at the current nursery has been in noticeable decline. Not going into details, just know that it's obvious that the care is not at the same level it was at before.

This makes tomorrow, Thursday, our last day of the work week, Lucy's last day at the current nursery. We will be talking with the 2 new ladies, who are the 2 who are basically in charge all day since the owner is nowhere to be found. These 2 ladies are, of course, going to take this personally, especially since there are at least 9 kids who are pulling out to go to the new nursery.

So, here are the requests:

1. PR for wisdom in our speech as we talk with N & S, the new teachers. PR that we would reflect nothing but G's light to them and that they won't take it personally.
2. PR for protection for M & F, as I fear there may be repercussions on them, if there are any at all. We don't know all the nuances of the Arab culture. PR that they would be wise in dealing with the owner, if she decides to approach them with "stealing" kiddos from her nursery.
3. PR for N & S. They've been plopped down smack in the middle of all this and my heart hurts for them and how hurt they will most likely feel tomorrow while and after we are talking to them and after the kids leave for potentially the last time. They've had Lucy and the other kiddos for almost a month now, so they've bonded some.
4. PR for our communication. These teachers don't speak much English and we don't speak much Arabic. PR that we would be able to communicate exactly what we want to say and that we wouldn't offend.
5. PR for the new nursery as it gets up and running. I'll keep you all posted.

Oh, and we have a test tomorrow. Think I'll be able to focus much? :)
