Happy Ramadhan!

As slow as this summer has been, we have really picked it up in the last 2 weeks!

This month is the month of Ramadhan for Muslims. Each day, they fast from sunrise to sunset. Then when the sun sets, they have a "breaking the fast" small meal called Iftar. This is always a big 'to-do' with families. And we've been very blessed to have an Iftar invitation every other night this past week and every night this week but one! Whew! Makes for a tired mommy and daddy and Lucy! But we are so thankful to be taken in by these families and loved on like we are a part of them. There's nothing quite like being surrounded by 30+ Arab ladies who consider you part of their family! Last night, I even was called an adopted daughter by one of the ladies that I've gotten particularly close to! What a blessing!

This family is really great. We've only recently gotten to know them, but you'd think we'd known them this whole year!

So... with all the nights out and then with us trying to get packed up (we move in 5 days!!!), I've been neglecting the blog. Sorry! I'll do better!

Please keep our friends in your prayers during this time. They need Jesus!

  1. I can't believe you move in 5 days!
I gotta admit, the Iftar thing sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I had Muslim friends to invite me to Iftar!
