Fun City!

Indoor play areas are a huge deal here. They are usually overrun with kids running wild and they're super loud! But since it's blazes hot (It's 100 today with a "feels like" of 112. On Sept 1.), indoor play areas are a necessity. We've found one that we love called Fun City. Lucy even knows the mall it's in and points it out when we pass it on the road. It has a huge padded playground that even I have fun in! :) That's usually where we spend all our time, and not on the games you pay for.

We usually go in the mornings because it's less crowded, but this week, Brad had an errand to run and we decided to go along to Fun City while we waited for him. It was wild! My super shy son didn't want anything to do with it to begin with and wanted to be held. However, my super social daughter told me that it was her favorite time to ever go there because she liked being around all the kids! (She's gonna do amazingly in school!)

Because of Will's shyness, we left Lucy playing in the playground and headed out to the cars. He loves cars!

Sometimes we pay for them, but most of the time, we just stand next to it and shake it! HA! He doesn't know the difference...
I love this picture. It shows the shy part of his personality wonderfully! Just sitting back, observing.
Later on, I grabbed him up and headed into the playground. We found the trampoline area and he loved it! These local kids were so nice to him and just gently bounced him.

He also loves the ball pit!

 And the slide!
I go up to the top with Will and he rides down on my lap.
But just like every single kid in history, they like to climb UP the slide most.
It's a very tall slide and Lucy won't go down it by herself, but she'll walk up a little ways and then slide. Good thing there's ABSOLUTELY NO RULES on playgrounds here in the M.E.

And as time went on, he slowly started melting down.
(We accidentally left all our snacks in the car and the car was with Daddy.)
Final smiling pictures. He laid down on the trampoline.
 And just laid there.
We love fun city! When you come visit us, bring your kids! My kids will LOVE it!

  1. This reminded me so much of the play area we went to in Dubai. In case you ever get the idea to try to go down the slide, let this serve you as caution from disapproving nannies: http://jrobfamily.blogspot.com/2011/03/parks-playgrounds-and-plowing-over.html :)
