I'm 33...

Yep. It happened. I'm 33. Where in the world did the time go? And when did I become such an adult? Sheesh.

I had a great day on my birthday. I was woken up to a sweet card and a present from Lucy and Brad and Will. And Brad told me "Happy Birthday" every chance he could - because I LOVE birthdays and I always say it to the birthday person as many times as possible. Sweet that he remembered that!

And beautiful flowers that are making our house smell so wonderful...

We had my favorite meal for lunch: Swahili beans and rice and greens. Then our friends R & K came over and kept Lucy and Will so we could go out on a date! Please check out our yummy meal...

Brad's meal. He had sushi and some prawns. (I tried the sushi! My first time ever! I'm not a fan.)

Then we headed over to Richoux for our favorite dessert! They even put a candle in it for me! I love birthdays!

Ok. This part won't mean anything to most of you... probably all of you... but I'm going to explain. If you read the previous post, you know that Lucy's teachers created a WhatsApp group to share pictures of their activities. Everyone was introducing themselves the night it started - Tuesday - and I wrote "I'm Lucy's Mom" in Arabic (the first thing on the screen on the right). And then right after that, the teacher responded "Lucy's Mom writes in Arabic Excellent" and lots of claps. YAY! Personal victory! I've impressed them. I'll take that victory. :)

33. Brad's is next Friday. Mom's was yesterday. It's a week of birthdays!
