Lucy started summer camp last week. She seemed to have a great time and was very tired everyday when she got home. Camp runs for 5 weeks (1 week completed), from 8-12 Sunday-Thursday (our weekends are Fri-Sat). Every day they spend the first 2 hours doing Montessori activities. Then after snack time, they do a different activity:
Sunday: Cooking
Monday: Swimming (small pool out back)
Tuesday: Horseback Riding
Wednesday: Crafts
Thursday: Trip
Lucy is the only Western/White kiddo there, which is to be expected. The school is taught in English, but I'm sure most conversations are in Arabic. I'm hoping she'll pick some up while she's young. Her teacher is Pakistani. She speaks perfect English and has the most beautiful English accent! And to top it all off, the school is about 1 minute from our house! YAY!
Tuesday was horseback riding and the teacher created a WhatsApp group to send us all pictures of our kiddos. (FYI, I've received 170+ pictures since Tuesday night...and they're still coming in as I'm typing this of their bowling trip on Thursday)
We were told to send a hat. I sent one. Apparently Lucy was the only kiddo who had a hat and even more apparently, the Arab ladies don't know how to put a hat on someone! HA! It's just laying there on her head! Brad says that his grandpa used to wear his hat like this.
They went to this place that's like a farm, I guess. They do programs with the animals for kids and for handicapped folks.
Seriously. Her hat.
Those monkeys gotta be HOT!
Stay tuned for more pictures from summer camp!

Oh my word that is so cool!! My girls see horses all the time (is that a TX thing or just a Thing?) and are always asking if we can go riding. So awesome Lucy gets to do all that!
