Here's the Plan

We've been in the USA since August 23. We've had the most amazing time! We've been blessed by family and friends and churches and all things American. We've eaten everything we wanted to. We've seen just about everyone we wanted to. We've been almost everywhere we wanted to go. Again, we are blessed! This is truly a season of blessing.

But it's time to get back to our reality. And our reality is not in America. Our reality is thousands of miles away on the other side of the globe in an amazing, hot, desert country, smack dab between the beautiful ocean and the spectacular mountains. Our reality requires long pants and my tushy covered by long shirts. Our reality is in Arabic. Our reality has prayer calls 5 times a day to a false god that can never fulfill any of the desires that they pray for 5 times a day. It has women in all black and men in all  white. I LOVE our reality! And I'm ready to be back to it.

So... here's "OUR" plan. Mind you, our plan may not be what God has planned for us. And that's fine. As we already know and acknowledge gladly, God's timing is perfect! We will wait on him.

We are currently waiting for Will's passport to come in and for medical clearance from our company to get back overseas (they take very good care of us!). Our technical last day of our stateside time is March 21. This is a very short 25 days away. The passport folks say that it takes 6 weeks for a passport to come - 6 weeks from the day we turned it in is March 20. Yikes. So we're praying for that to come speedily. And the medical stuff to get all worked out speedily. Tomorrow is my 6 weeks postpartum appointment and I'll be "released" from medical care then. All should be easy on the medical front.

Brad is working on the business set up. It's exciting to see this new chapter opening for him and for us. We are all ready to go.

So now we wait. And we wait patiently in the Lord.

The next few weeks looks like this:
This week is a conference at our church.
Next week is a conference at a church in Georgia.
And then that last week will be spent PACKING! Trying to get everything we have accumulated in the last 6+ months into the tiniest amount of luggage possible. Sheesh. I'm kinda dreading that! And we'll also be spending time with friends and family. I'm excited to see everyone again, but dreading the "see you laters" that we'll have to say again - with Lucy, for the first time, actually knowing what's going on.  Bah. That's not gonna be fun.

Be prepared, family.
Trust in the Lord!

  1. A video was shown Sunday morning from your side of the world (ish). The scene was set: beautiful desert, ancient meets modern, the Word being boldly spoken. Then the call to prayer came on. I began to cry, for so many reasons. Love you.
