So, this week....
- I have a cold. Even this very minute, I can hardly breathe. (sniffle, sniffle)
- Lucy and her friend Alexis found an open can of green paint that was left open at their nursery school and proceeded to play in it and paint the wall green before the teachers got out there to find them. Hmmm... what was going on there? I was told it was only a minute or two that they were outside...me thinks not. Sad to say it, the nursery isn't perfect :) Shocker. (No worries, Mom & Dad & Joann, I got on to the teachers and I moved the paint can) But honestly, Lucy and Alexis are Trouble when they are together!! (See that capital T?!?!) Also sad to say that Lucy's clothes from that day are ruined. Boo. Oh well, now we have paint clothes!
- I got approved to drop my least favorite class - maybe of all time (but then there was that horrible Chaucer class in graduate school...hmmm...) - Media Arabic. It's about things going on in the media...and for the 3 of you who read this, you KNOW I am not at all interested in the Media, in English OR in Arabic! Anyway, I get to drop it! Yay! So that's 2 less hours of nonsensical Arabic that I don't have to do anymore! Yay! And I got approved to add an additional 1 hour of private lessons, for a total of 2 hours of private lessons each week. Yay! (Brad got approved for an hour, too!) Privates are amazing because we can control what we do and what we talk about. Yay.
I'm totally singing the "7 Days a Week" song from Imagination Movers because of the title of this post...
- I've met 2 new friends here that are studying to be translators and they've agreed to meet with me every Tuesday night (just got home, by the way) and work on Arabic with me. They are so fun! Both are single gals and they are willing to talk about anything I want to talk about! We go back and forth between English and Arabic, since all 3 of us are hoping to benefit from this relationship. It's fantastic! And so fun!
That's about it. On a more serious note, I've started another round of infertility treatments this week. I'll take all the prayers you have to offer. We're ready to expand our family.
And here's a SUPER cute picture of Lucy (and a few more) for you to cap it all off... Have a happy week, friends! (only 8 more weeks of language school...a-woo-hoo!)
See what I mean? SUPER CUTE and sassy all at the same time! This was a few weeks ago when we all got shots and blood drawn. She got to pick out a present and she chose sparkly pink sunglasses and a purse. Not sure where she gets this from! Pink is most definitely her favorite color!
(Have I shared this picture already? I can't remember...)
This was at our pals' house. She's wearing Mrs. G's Uggs. Funny. She was so proud of herself.
A precious picture from Resurrection Sunday morning.
Our chocolate treats from our Easter package from my mom... They didn't make it. And despite the fact that I had to peel them out of their packaging, they are still very tasty!
OH! I started cutting t-shirts for my t-shirt quilt I'm going to make. It's going to be amazing and so soft! I saw a company online that will make these for you, but sheesh, it was so expensive! I mean, I can cut out the designs and sew them together! (Right?) Then I'll take them back to US of A with us and get it quilted there. I love t-shirts...and all the memories that go with them. (Pictured below...our "Class of 98" shirt from 8th grade -1993/1994 - and the pocket from my 1 year in SGA in college - 2000/2001)

I love the picture of Lucy in her sunglasses and purse- too funny! And I think my response to your t-shirt quilt was- Oh. My. Word. Why does she have her 8th grade t-shirt? haha
ReplyDeleteHomegirl's got pizazz!! Praying for ya'll!
ReplyDeleteWhat it is about Lucy that every time I see her, I do a double take because she looks like Hazel?
