All About Me!

1. If you were on an island, who would you want to be with? Why?
Brad. He's dreamy! And there's no on on Earth I'd rather be with!

2. If you could witness any even past, present, or future, what would it be?
I'm torn between two: 1. being in the upper room when Jesus appeared to the disciples and doubting Thomas put his fingers in the holes in Jesus' hands. 2. the moment of the Resurrection. Wow.

3. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Speak all the languages! And play piano. Gosh, I wish I hadn't stopped in 5th grade.

4. If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
This seems like a question for middle schoolers... I really like a name I’ve just recently heard in Arabic pronounced Maj-dah - means Glory (like of God)

5. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
sponsor lots and lots of kids in Africa and other impoverished areas.

6. If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?
Sidney Bristow

7. What do you want to be when you grow up?
More gracious.

8. What was the last movie, TV show, or boo that made you cry or tear up?
What to Expect When You’re Expecting. The part at the end with J Lo and the adoption in Ethiopia… COME ON.

9. What do you miss most about being a kid?
Weekends and weeks in the summer at my grandparents’ houses. My happy place.

10. What story does your family always tell about you?
When I went on a date with Mom and Bill and I asked him when he was going to marry mom.

11. What is your dream job?
There was this show called Great Hotels. She traveled around and went to great hotels! She got to experience everything about the hotel - the food, the service, the amenities, and any fun stuff around. I’d love that! 
But it is also worth mentioning that my time as a lifeguard at Shipwreck Island was as close to a dream job as I’ve ever been. I LOVED it

12. What cause are you willing to fight for?
treating other people like you are better than them. There’s nothing that gets under my skin more! It was not uncommon for me to stop one of my classes in TZ when a student made a snide remark about their maid or another laborer. “Love the Lord your God….Love your neighbor as yourself…”

13. What was the last national park you visited?
Selous Game reserve in TZ in 2006

14. What was the first thing you learned to cook?
egg salad when I was 6 or 7 yrs old. I was trying to surprise my mom and I kept running in the living room asking her, “if someone was gonna make egg salad, what would they do first?” and so on, until I’d made her an egg salad sandwich. 

15. What book can you read over and over again?
Besides the Bible, the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers, and Into Africa by Martin Dugard

16. Did you ever work at an on campus job?
Yes. Several jobs. 
As an assistant in the campus scheduling office (I can’t remember the name of the office now, but we did all scheduling of buildings/rooms for activities)

2 years in Sports Information with volleyball, basketball, and baseball 
Graduate Assistant for Athletic Director

17. First concert?
Sandi Patty. She called all the kids down front and I learned how to spell “Friend” because we yelled it in one of her songs.

18. Who is someone from your past that you are sorry you lost track of?
In college, I had a great friend at Beach Project, Michelle. We were inseparable! Gosh, we had fun. I miss her.

19. If you could see 24 hours into the future, what would you do with this ability?
I have no idea...

20. If you had to do it over again, what would you study in school?
Something in communications

21. What do you know ho wot say in a foreign language?
a lot!

22. What was your first paying job?
Cashier at Vincent's Super Market (age 16)

23. What is the strangest food you have ever eaten?
It was some part of a sheep...Brad and I argue over whether it was stomach or lung or brain...I can't remember. But it was gross!

24. When was the first time you saw the ocean?
Before I was old enough to remember!

25. What is most memorable about your high school years?
Band. Homewood Patriot Marching Band. What a wonderful time!

26. What word describes you best?
honest
