I had another one of those *moments* today with God. I love how those work out!
I’m in Matthew 6:19-34.
Verses 19-24 are about our treasure: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (v. 21) “No one can serve two masters…” (v. 24)
Verses 25-34 are about not being anxious: We are commanded, “Do not be anxious” in verses 25, 31, & 34.
Looking at these together…. It seems clear that if our treasure is God, then we won’t be anxious about the small things of life. This led me to another verse….
Philippians 4:6-7:
"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
And it just so *happens* (ha ha, wink, wink) that I’m also reading a book about being Thankful in all I do!
So. Let’s recap: Where is my treasure? Get that in the right place and I won’t be anxious. When my Treasure is God, I’m going to be in constant contact with Him through prayer and with thanksgiving! And His Peace, which passes all understanding, will guard my heart & my mind!
Yes. This is what I want.

Love this insight. Great verses! Thank you for sharing as it was what I needed to hear today! Love you!
