Brad, Lucy, Will, and I would like to invite you all to a Halloween/Fall Festival Party at our house!
When: Friday, November 1 in the early/late afternoon. 3-7 pm.
Activities:
-Kids (And adults, maybe?) dress up in fun costumes
-We will have games and activities for everyone (got any fun games or ideas? let me know!)
Admission:
-Each family bring a heavy appetizer/dish of some kind
-Each family bring a bag of candy and/or some kind of small treat to give out
-In order to get any candy/treats, you have to say a Bible Verse!
Here’s our motivation…
We are the Body here. We are pretty much all we have for fellowship. We would like to function here as “normally” as we would if we were back in our home country. Fall is a fun time in the USA. This can be a fun tradition to share with our friends from around the world.
The Fun Times Fall Festival:
My ballerina.
An explorer, a hummingbird (in the back), a butterfly, an iPod classic (HA!), and a pre-teen boy!
Brad explaining Pin the Tail on the Camel
2 very cute pink ballerinas
CUPCAKES!
She made 4 cupcakes! And would've eaten every single one of them! (She ate one.)
He made a tiger!
Too sweet - cupcakes and Lucybug!
Bobbing for Apples was a huge hit!
But everyone got super soaked!
We used Will's old baby bathtub
Brad was the only adult to try it out. He did it! I just wasn't fast enough to catch him!
Then we ate our regular food and kids watched Room on the Broom. (Very cute movie!)
After the food and movie, we went back outside for GOOP!
(corn starch and water... it makes the coolest chemical reaction and is solid then liquid then solid again... very cool. try it.)
This whole time, Will was sleeping. Finally, He's up! Dressed as Mike Wazowski from Monsters University. His precious chubby belly was perfect in his costume!
The coloring station
I was BatWoman.
She wanted to give it another try
Happy Halloween!

What a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Alison!!! The party looked so fun and the decorations and activities looked great! I'm sad we had to miss out but so glad that you guys were able to have a "normal" Fall in the Desert! Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteGood job!! Lucy and Will could not be any cuter even if they were holding puppies. And your house looks really cool - I just realized you've never "shown" it to us readers! :)
