I didn't have a moment like this with Lucy because she came 3 weeks early and totally surprised us! One day I was fine and that night I was contracting and ready to go! She came the next day!
This baby...is different. I've had contractions for over a month - some small and some BIG ones that have brought tears to my eyes! I've had 3 false alarms which have included an hour+ of contracting and being in pain; me calling the hospital; them telling me to come in; getting Lucy taken care of by family; getting to the hospital; getting checked and hooked up to monitors for hour(s) and then getting sent right back home. Blah. Had 2 of those in 1 week!
With Lucy I was sick the whole 9 months. Yucky sick. And around week 36, I got the horrible pregnancy rash. BLAH. It was the worst!
With Baby #2, I've been blessed! I haven't been sick - besides the usual 1st trimester stuff. And PRAISE THE LORD, NO pregnancy rash this time! But I've had all these contractions and more pelvic pain than I had before.
So when people ask me if I think it's a boy or a girl, I say "Boy." I have a girl. And this one, so far, has been completely different.
But, of course, I could be wrong. And I'm okay with either!
Moving on.... I just can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that in 24 hours, everything will be different! My prayer for the past 2 days has been that I won't freak out and get overwhelmed with all this change. And that Lucy won't either. Because - wow, if I think MY life is about to change... Lucy's world is about to be completely shocked!
Here's a little documenting for you of this pregnancy:

39 weeks
Really, still 39 weeks?
Oh my... I'm huge... 39 weeks?
And I'm happy to tell you that tomorrow, I will be heading to the hospital at 5 am to start getting this baby OUT! I'm being induced. I'm a bit nervous - but my trust is in the Lord. He ordained this from the beginning. Lucy is spending the night with Bibi and Papa Bill. They'll take her to school and then Babu will pick her up and come to the hospital. Nana and Pops will join us this weekend.
Change. BIG change. It's a-coming! I'm ready!
I'll check back with you soon....

I'm SO SO SO excited for you!! All of you!! I wish I could be at the hospital with you, but of course, not only is that not possible, it's probably not welcome either! haha!
