There are many things we are having "Firsts" for this year! It's quite fun and exciting. (Oh, please let me document 2nd Baby's life just half as much as I've documented Lucy's...)
I asked Lucy if she wanted to wear her Spiderman costume or a princess dress and she chose her Rapunzel dress. TOO CUTE! We got all dressed up and headed over to Bibi's house to get started on the trick-or-treating. The neighborhood I grew up in is very friendly and is now filled with all kinds of young families, so we knew it would be perfect! (It was a little strange walking around my old neighborhood, reminiscing about who used to live where and all the shenanigans we used to do as kids. Fun times.)
Pre-trick-or-treating!
She loves pumpkins and was super impressed with Bibi's!
She wasn't quite sure what to do. We had to coax up her to each door to get her to knock/ring the bell. Then, she would run back to us to stand with us. And I'm not sure she actually said "Trick or Treat" to anyone except to Bibi!
This was more than halfway through. She was getting it by this point and loving it! Although, in true Lucy form, I think she loved seeing everyone's dogs more! She kept asking if she could go inside their houses to play with them and their dogs. Sweet, social girl!
Finished! She had a great time! And then spent the rest of the night inside Bibi's house passing out candy to everyone who came by after dark. Mom told me that everyone kept commenting on the cute princess giving them candy and then Lucy would stand at the door and say "Bye bye" over and over again as they were leaving.
It was a super fun night and I know she had a great time!

Great post! What a fun memory!!
ReplyDeleteI remember how super cute your Mom's neighborhood is! It looks even cuter now that I'm a homeowner. haha
