Family Bowling Night

Last night we went bowling! I've never even considered bowling with a 3 1/2 year old, but in our city, it's relatively cheap - even with the bumpers up! So, after some yummy Subway, we headed in. Lucy was super excited about being able to "throw the ball." Her daddy did a great job of getting her excited!   (I'm not sure I've bowled since we were in Kenya back in 2007!)

It should be noted that the final score was: Lucy 73, Brad 98, and Alison 116. Oh yeah! All those years of underhanded softball pitching pay off when I'm bowling!

They have these cool things where she can just push the ball down.
She liked sitting on the table behind the computer screen watching everything.
 Daddy giving instructions.
She was always very excited after her first roll...and not too interested in doing the 2nd roll of each turn.
 Watching...
 Waiting...
Celebrating! She was SUPER excited after every turn!
(I got some great video that I'm going to post soon)
 Look at that form!

 The best picture!
While she was waiting for me and Brad to finish, she found a hiding spot behind the ball storage place.
I made Brad take a picture of me to prove that I really was there!
I'll tell you, this was the first time I've gone bowling and gotten HOT!
Ahh, Bowling in the desert...

  1. It seems like when you post pics of y'all doing "western" things, there are no people in the same building! Is it because it was Ramadan, or do Arabs just not like to bowl? Anyway cute pics. And Lucy has some long skinny legs! What a cutie!!

  2. Emily, it's because we go "early" and Arabs go much, much later. We got there at 7 when the place opened. By the time we left, that joint was hopping!
