14 Weeks!

Yesterday I had my monthly visit. It was a great visit with a new doctor at a new hospital. Wow, we were very impressed with this place! This place, Starcare Hospital, makes me realize that I could have a baby here in our city and wouldn't have to go to the Big D! It's so modern and so clean! Yay.

On to the visit... I'll only do 2 visits with this doctor before we head to the USA, but I still wanted to go, just to get a peek at little one #2. She did a thorough ultrasound for us, including a few 3D shots! We've never had 3D shots before, since you have to pay for them extra in the USA. It was so cool! Lucy said, "eww. That's gross!" when the 3D was on the screen. We laughed! This hospital has a separate monitor up on the wall, too, so that I could see the ultrasound as she was doing it! I'm telling you, it's SO nice! And she gave us printouts of almost all the pictures.

This is the best shot we got a printout of. Baby is very wiggly, just like Big Sister Lucy always was and IS still!
We heard baby's strong little heart beat, and saw baby's head, all the brain parts, the neck, the face, the cute profile, the stomach, the bladder, the spinal cord, the blood flowing and the heart beating, and all 4 limbs - even got a little wave! Dr said the baby is about 7cm long right now and is measuring a week ahead, as usual.

We have another appointment on August 16, where we'll do an "in-depth scan" and hopefully get to see more cool things in 3D.

We are blessed beyond measure!

I'm still able to wear regular clothes, since I've only gained 4 lb. (yay!) I've reached the point where it's a little more uncomfortable to sleep and takes me a bit longer to get to sleep. I'm up usually only once a night for the bathroom stops. It's getting harder to bend over when I'm sitting to reach things cause the bump is growing. I'm still pretty tired all the time and I'm taking it easy.

A few ODD things:
-I've been consistently colder during this pregnancy. Which is nice for this climate when it's pushing 100 every day. And completely opposite of my first pregnancy.
-I cannot eat Chinese food anymore! Trust me.
-I end up wanting mustard on things, when I've always been a strictly ketchup only gal.
