It's hard to believe that 3 weeks of October have passed already! Unfortunately, I've been sick off and on for about 14 of those 21 days. Thankfully, I'm on the mend!
We started the month with some of our BFFs visiting. We love them.
And the cheeks on these two littles.
And then there was that night we stayed up until 3:15am watching the Rebels dominate this other team...
This is Will's "Go Rebels" pose.
And one morning when Lucy woke up with the most amazing hair!
(despite her crazy "Chandler" smile)
CHEESE!
And one day she fell asleep during room time with her book on her face!
Lucy went to play golf with Brad. He said she had a good time, besides getting a bug bite a few holes in. She sure looks cute!
The kids' new favorite activity!
CHEESE!
We have 2 hills outside our house now. This one is about 8 feet tall. She loves it.
I don't know what Lucy was doing inside her room to make Will laugh so hard
I love this.
Lucy is big into art these days. She told me that this was her Henna Design. And see that cross near the first finger? She said that she drew this picture for her teacher, Ms. Shona, and that she drew the cross so that Ms. Shona would know about Jesus. (She took the picture to her teacher the next day and said that she explained it to her.) See? LOVE THIS!
And the artistic side comes out in her after-school outfits, too...
He was super excited to have both snack buckets at the same time.
Last weekend, we went to the park for the first time since the summer. It was Will's first time to go since he started walking. He explored. He was happy. And then it was snack time. He climbed back up into the stroller to eat. Had to have it latched and all. Silly boy.
Lucy plays in the sand at the park. The play structures are kinda big, so she just rolls around in the sand and plays. I love it. I get a lot of *looks* from other parents, since she makes sand angels and such, but no worries. She's having fun!
This little boy came to watch Lucy play. Will tottled over and squat down next to him and just watched him. Little boy started picking up sand to throw...Will got up, walked in between him and Lucy and nudged him away. Protecting his sister already! (I let it happen since little boy started throwing sand almost immediately...I do not like sand throwing!)
Came downstairs on Saturday morning to this sweet little display...
Will's been helping Brad with the water bottles
Lucy's List.
We've started telling her to put things on her list that she wants for Christmas or for her birthday. She has realized that she's only been writing squiggles, so we told her to draw pictures of what she wants.
Starting at top Left and going clockwise...
1. Bicycle (under the DOLLAR sign)
2. Rollar skates
3. A car for her to drive
4. A small lamp for her room
5. A LaLaLoopsy Doll
The perfect picture!
Today Will and I were sitting together and I just loved that we were sitting exactly the same!
In other news:
- A friend of mine asked Lucy what her favorite part of living in our country was and she said her School. I love that.
- Lucy's class has done the letters A, S, T, and this week is I. They use a method called Jolly Phonics. They have songs and motions that go with the letters.
- I am now on the PTA Committee for Lucy's school. I'm the only housewife on the 10 parent leadership committee. Crazy.
- Will doesn't cry anymore when we drop him off at the nursery! YAY!
- Lucy and Will are playing together quite well these days. We love to watch them play and laugh and then we chuckle when Lucy inevitably yells, "Agh! Will! Stop it!"

Love all the pics! It sure makes me miss your sweet kiddos and especially watching our kids grow up together as they have most of their lives. And has it hit you yet, that our babies will be 6 year olds in 3 months?? Seeing Lucy's list made me think of that!!! Where has time gone?? Love you guys!!
ReplyDeleteI love all these pics too! How sweet of Will to protect his sister. And Lucy's hand drawing is quite elaborate! Little good news spreader. :)
