We've had 2 days of rain this week, preceded by lots of dust and sand. The rain is nice and we even let Lucy go outside and play and splash in the puddles for her first time ever! She didn't know what to think at first...but after a while, she was jumping and splashing right alongside the neighbor kids. It was precious to me! Every kid should get to play in the rain every now and again!
Yesterday, we drove out to the park we love to go to so that our friend Mrs. G, who's a fantastic photographer, could take some pictures of Lucy bug. I've never tried this before because Lucy's not so much about the "being still and doing what I'm told..." And yesterday wasn't much different. I haven't seen Mrs. G's pics, yet, but I assume that the face she got the most was one yelling "NO!" as we were asking Lucy to smile... Oh well, at least they will be an accurate depiction of what she looks like these days as her testy 2 1/2 year old self!
SO... as we were driving out to the park, the storm was blowing in and it was BEAUTIFUL! See for yourself...
Are you kidding me with these colors??? God is so creative!

Doesn't this look like a "stairway to heaven?"
There's sweet Mrs. G trying to get Lucy to participate...
Lucy just wanted to play instead. I guess I can't blame her.
CHEESE!
There's the whole gang... Brad & Lucy, and all the Gs.
She loves to play in the dirt and rocks.
No storm for us today. Hopefully there will be more rain before the super dry winter sets in. I am happy to tell you, though, that Brad and I are watching a movie right now and it's 82 outside and we don't have the AC on! Yay!
